Do & Donts - BE A RESPONSIBLE TOURIST

Most of the people consider the rules and regulations as a means to erase the adventure or fun from the national parks. These rules are made only to ensure that you and the bio diversity of the park are safe and sound. The unwanted activities often seize out the fun and could be hazardous. To ensure you enjoy your stay to the fullest at the Corbett National Park, here are few rules that you should strictly follow to maintain the decorum and integrity of the National Park.

No firearms are allowed inside the reserve, you are here to experience wildlife not hunting.

You cannot carry your pets inside; this is the home of wild animals you don't want to create havoc by introducing a new animal.

Wandering, trekking and getting down from the jeep is not allowed, it is for your own safety.

No driving in the park after sunset, it is not safe for both animals and you. Many animals are nocturnal and this might create disruption in their routine night life.

A safe distance should be maintained between you and the animals at all times. In short their life should not be disturbed by your presence.

Non vegetarian food is not allowed, you don't want to invite some unwanted friends from the jungle.

No littering is allowed. Garbage bins are placed throughout the reserve for the biodegradable litter. The non biodegradable substances are to be brought back if carried by the tourists. If anyone is found guilty, then he / she will face severe penalties.

Campfire and smoking is not allowed in the park, they can cause forest fires.

Loud music and playing of transistors is not allowed. You are here to enjoy the songs of the jungle, you can hear your songs anywhere and anytime but this soulful music of forest is unique.

Maintain silence as this way there are more chances of spotting wildlife in their natural habitat. If you shout on sighting wild animals, this might startle them and they might behave in an inappropriate manner.

Hooliganism, teasing, chasing, feeding or even attempting to feed the animals is a punishable offense.

Only an officially registered guide is allowed. They are more familiar with the place and they are trained to show you things which other guides cannot.

Bright colored clothing should be avoided. It is always advisable to wear the clothes that merge with the surroundings. Khaki, dark green and other dull colors are highly appreciated.

Tiger is not the only animal of the wild. There are many others exotic species so don't worry if you don't sight any tiger.
